FAQs

Welcome to our FAQ page! Here, you’ll find answers to common questions about Hypnosis, Transpersonal Hypnosis, Somatic Reparenting, and HeartMath Techniques. We understand that trying new approaches can feel uncertain, so we hope this information provides clarity, reassurance, and insight into how these practices can support your healing journey.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

  • Traditional therapy often focuses on understanding and managing thoughts and behaviors, while our approaches go deeper to engage the body, subconscious, and even the spirit. These methods address the root of emotional and behavioral patterns, providing a holistic path toward lasting transformation.

  • During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss your goals and any specific challenges you’re facing. From there, we can recommend the approach that may best support your healing journey, whether that’s Transpersonal Hypnosis, Somatic Reparenting, HeartMath, or a blend of techniques.

  • Each session is designed to provide a safe, relaxed space where you can explore and heal at your own pace. We begin with gentle guidance to help you feel at ease, then move into practices tailored to your needs. You’ll always have control over the process, and we’ll discuss any concerns beforehand.

Hypnosis and Transpersonal Hypnosis

  • Transpersonal Hypnosis is a holistic approach that engages the mind, body, and spirit to address deeper aspects of who you are. Unlike traditional hypnosis, it allows for spiritual exploration, personal growth, and a more profound release of old patterns, empowering you to live with greater alignment.

  • No, hypnosis is a naturally safe state. You are always in control and can emerge from the relaxed state whenever you choose. Hypnosis is simply a heightened state of focus, much like being deeply absorbed in a good book.

  • Past life regression is an optional tool, not a requirement. The focus is on what feels meaningful and beneficial to you. Transpersonal Hypnosis offers a variety of methods to help you release old patterns without needing to explore past lives.

  • By accessing and shifting subconscious patterns and limiting beliefs, Transpersonal Hypnosis allows you to release what no longer serves you. It’s a powerful way to move beyond old emotional patterns, fostering greater peace and clarity.

Somatic Reparenting

  • Somatic Reparenting combines body-based practices with reparenting techniques to address unresolved emotional patterns from childhood. This method involves gentle, nurturing steps to help heal the inner child and create a safe, supportive relationship with yourself.

  • While traditional inner child work focuses on recognizing childhood patterns, Somatic Reparenting engages the body’s wisdom. By releasing the effects of these patterns on a bodily level, you can experience a deeper sense of relief and empowerment.

  • Not at all. Somatic Reparenting works with the body’s responses and doesn’t require you to fully relive past experiences. We focus on creating safety and comfort, allowing you to heal without becoming overwhelmed.

  • Yes, unprocessed emotions can sometimes contribute to physical tension and pain. Somatic work can release these stored emotions and foster a sense of ease in both body and mind.

Brainspotting

  • Brainspotting is a brain-body-based therapeutic approach that helps identify, process, and release deeply held emotional or physical pain by using eye positions to access the brain’s subcortical layers. These layers are where trauma, memories, and emotions are stored. The process helps your brain and body naturally resolve and integrate what has been stuck.

  • Brainspotting is effective for addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, stress, performance issues, and unresolved emotional patterns. It can also support personal growth and resilience by helping you access and process underlying subconscious blocks.

  • During a session, you’ll work in a calm, safe environment as I guide you to identify specific eye positions or “Brainspots” that correlate with emotional or physical sensations. These positions allow us to access areas of the brain that hold unprocessed emotions or trauma. You’ll explore your experience at your own pace, allowing the brain to naturally release and heal.

  • Brainspotting works directly with the brain and body to access deeper, non-verbal areas of the mind that talk therapy may not reach. Unlike hypnotherapy, which involves a guided trance-like state, Brainspotting uses focused eye positions and mindfulness to unlock the brain’s natural healing capacity. It complements other approaches by addressing issues on a deeper, neurobiological level.

HeartMath® Techniques

  • HeartMath® Techniques use scientifically validated tools to regulate the nervous system and build resilience. By creating coherence between the heart and mind, these practices help reduce stress and increase emotional clarity and balance.

  • HeartMath® emphasizes coherence—a balanced, harmonious state between the heart and brain that fosters a calm, clear mind and a resilient emotional state. This goes beyond standard stress management by cultivating a more grounded and centered self.

  • While HeartMath® offers biofeedback tools for those who want to deepen their practice, they’re not required. These techniques are effective on their own and can be incorporated into daily life.

  • Yes, HeartMath® Techniques are specifically designed to help reset your stress response, creating a more balanced and resilient approach to life’s challenges. Many people find that these practices greatly reduce feelings of overwhelm and promote calm and clarity.

Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)

  • The SSP is a listening-based therapy that uses specially filtered music to help regulate the nervous system, enhance emotional resilience, and promote a sense of safety. It stimulates the vagus nerve, which plays a key role in how we respond to stress, creating a foundation for greater calm and connection.

  • The SSP is beneficial for those experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, trauma, or difficulties feeling safe and connected in their body. It is also helpful for sensory processing challenges, emotional dysregulation, PTSD, and other nervous system-related issues.

  • During SSP sessions, you’ll listen to specially designed music through headphones in a comfortable and supportive setting. The program length may vary, and the pace is tailored to your individual needs to ensure your safety and ease.

  • If you struggle with stress, overwhelm, or emotional dysregulation, or want to feel more at ease in your body, the SSP may be a good fit. A consultation will help us determine if it aligns with your needs and goals.
